IELTS Coaching
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is one of the mandatory tests required to be taken for admission in Australian Universities (at any level). Earlier, TOEFL was also accepted. IELTS is also a must for obtaining the Australian visa.
With effect from 1st March 2002, all the universities in Australia require only IELTS score in place of TOEFL. This test is also an alternative test to TOEFL for admission into UK, Canadian and New Zealand universities.
All candidates have to take the same Listening and Speaking Modules. If you are planning to undertake academic study it is recommended that you sit for the Academic Reading and Writing Modules. If you are planning to undertake non-academic training or apply for immigration to Australia or New Zealand it is recommended that you sit for the General Training Reading and Writing.
The IELTS exams contains four sections:
- Listening - 30 Minutes
- Reading - 60 Minutes
- Writing two essays - 60 Minutes
- Speaking - 10 - 15 Minutes

There are two versions of the IELTS test:
IELTS Academic: this is recommended for candidates who plan to undertake academic study.
IELTS General Training: this is recommended for candidates to use at work, work-related training or for migration.

There are a limited number of places for all our IELTS test sessions. IELTS test with the British Council are very popular, so we recommend that you register one month prior to make sure you get a place. Check the IELTS test dates
You can use our online registration system to find up-to-date information about test dates and availability.
Please note: Your Listening, Reading and Writing tests will be completed on the same day. Your Speaking test may be offered on the same day, or up to a week before or after your main test day. You will receive a notification if your Speaking test is on a different day from your main test day 5 days before the test.
REGISTER
The registration fee for IELTS test is INR 12,650
You can register for IELTS quickly and easily through our online registration portal
- Pay online using Net Banking, eWallets or Card (Visa, Visa electron, Master Card)
Register offline by completing the following three steps.
- Download the IELTS registration form.
- Complete your details and choose the test date
- To pay by cash or demand draft visit the nearest ICICI bank with the ICICI payment slip
NOTE: Your passport will be the identity document for IELTS registration. Please keep the passport number ready at the time of registration. You must carry your passport on the test day, it is the only form of identity that will be accepted. The document must be valid/not expired at registration and on the test day.
Choose Your Payment Options
If registering online/ via post/ via courier you can pay using the following methods:
- Payment at ICICI bank braches (make cash payment at any ICICI bank branch by filling in the ICICI payment slip
- Demand Draft (the demand draft must be drawn in favour of 'British Council' payable at Delhi)
Please note: Cash or credit/debit card payment for IELTS fees is not accepted at our office.
Prepare and Send Your Documents
Candidates who apply using the online application form and are paying online by Credit/Debit card:
- No documents required.
Candidates who apply using the online application form and have registered for IELTS either by paying at ICICI bank or through a Demand Draft must submit the following documents:
- A copy of the IELTS Test application acknowledgement that they receive by email after registering online.
- Evidence of the payment (either the demand draft or the ‘acknowledged copy’ of the ICICI payment slip).
The documents must be received at our Gurgaon Office within two days from the day of registering for the test. This will enable us to confirm your booking. If paying at ICICI Bank, candidates are required to upload the deposit slip duly stamped and acknowledged by the ICICI bank in thecandidate area.
Candidates who apply using the paper application form and have regsitered for IELTS either by paying at ICICI bank or through a Demand Draft must send:
- The completed IELTS application form.
- Evidence of the payment (either the demand draft or the ‘acknowledged copy’ of the ICICI payment slip).
NOTE: If the candidate is below the age of 18 years at the time of registration or on the test day, a duly filled consent form must be produced at the time of appearing for the examination
